Temple Unearthed Clothing Collabration

Bagru, Northern India, is a small town dressed in colourful cloth.

Curtains of fabric bellowing off balconies, crops of coloured weave curing in the sun, the smell of Indigo fermenting hangs in the air.

It is here, a year and a half ago, I had the joy of wondering this beautiful town and learning natural dye methods and woodblock printing under the guidance of The Wabi Sabi Project

It was a joy to learn the jigsaw of woodblock printing and explore what is possible with this patterned craft form. I particularly enjoyed getting some free hand time in with the natural ink on brush.

Some time on, I am excited to share a design made in collaboration with Temple Unearthed produced by the Wabi Sabi Project.

Designed by myself, hand carved wood block with natural madder root dye on 100% hemp. The vests are lined with a beautiful cotton for a gentle touch on the skin, and there are now a super limited run available on the Temple website.
